he Lucas Stock Index (LSI) rose 1.26 percent during the first period of trading in February 2018. The stocks of four companies were traded with 38,884 shares changing hands. There were three Climbers and no Tumblers. The stocks of the Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) rose 3.91 percent on the sale of 23,334 shares. The stocks of the Guyana Bank for Trade & Industry (BTI) rose 2.33 percent on the sale of 9,550 shares. The stocks of Banks DIH (DIH) also rose 2.22 percent on the sale of 1,000 shares. In the meanwhile, the stocks of the Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) remained unchanged on the sale of 5,000 shares.
