Following months of dormancy, the third season of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) ‘Elite League’will resume today at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) Ground, Bourda.
In the opening match, defending champion and currently in fourth place, Guyana Defence Force (GDF) will lock horns with league leader Den Amstel from 17:30hrs.
The feature contest will pit third placed Fruta Conquerors against their traditional foe, who is currently fifth in the table, Western Tigers at 19:30hrs.
The next round of matches are scheduled for Sunday at the Buxton Community Centre Ground. In the opening fixture at 14:00hrs, Cougars FC will battle Ann’s Grove, while Victoria Kings tackle Buxton United from 16:00hrs.
The competition continues on February 21st at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) Ground, Linden. New Amsterdam (NA) United will engage Ann’s Grove from 19:00hrs in the opening fixture, while GDF battle Milerock at 21:00hrs.
On February 24th at the Number Five (#5) Ground, Berbice, Milerock will lock horns with Cougars FC from 18:00hrs, while NA United will match skills with Den Amstel at 20:00hrs.
