A Campbellville Housing Scheme resident was yesterday remanded to prison after she was charged with the attempted murder of a relative.
Lisa Bobb, 26, of 84 Campbellville Housing Scheme, was read a charge which alleged that on February 14th, at Royal Drive, Campbellville, with intent to commit murder, she unlawfully wounded Crystal Bobb.
She was not required to enter a plea to the indictable charge, which was read to her by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan in Georgetown.
Police prosecutor Gordon Mansfield objected to bail being granted to Bobb, while citing the fact that the complainant underwent emergency surgery yesterday and remained hospitalised. He also noted that the accused has pending matters in most of the city’s courts.
As a result of the prosecutor’s objection, Lisa Bobb was remanded to prison by the Chief Magistrate, who assigned the case to Magistrate Judy Latchman for a hearing on March 12th.
