Cabinet has given its no-objection to the award of two contracts totalling in excess of $230M for the rehabilitation of the Doctor’s Quarters located at Quamina and Waterloo streets, Georgetown.
The announcement was made by Minister of State Joseph Harmon on Thursday.
He said that a contract for $131.3M was awarded to International Import and Supplies for works to the north block. A contract for $100.8M was awarded to A and N Enterprise for rehabilitation of the south block.
The building has been in a horrible state for years.
