In an article headlined “GTTA Mashramani Junior and Cadet Championships start today” General Secretary of the Guyana Table Tennis Association Linden Johnson was referred to as President of the GTTA. Johnson told this newspaper that the article had caused a bit of a problem as he has no intention of running for the post of president of the GTTA at the upcoming elections.
The current GTTA president is former two-time national men’s singles champion Godfrey Munroe.
Meanwhile, in another article headlined “Banks Malta Supreme Titans Junior Table Tennis Tournament serves off tomorrow” published on Friday Kaysan Ninvalle was referred to as the national junior champion, which honour is in fact held by Kyle Edghill. Ninvalle won the boys U11 and U13 categories at the 2016 National TT championships.
