Dear Editor,
From horrendous deals to burdensome contracts that will remain in existence well into our own golden years, we the youth of Guyana must decide that it is time for us to take a hardline stance against the poisonous politicians who continue to serve their own interests at the cost of country’s sovereignty and dignity without resistance from the populace.
The adults sit timidly while their leaders bring our beautiful nation to ruination. But we shall say, no more! For too long we have been oppressed and used by those in power; it is time for us to show them that we are many and we are strong.
We were lied to by both administrations. We have been deceived by both administrations. We will have our voices heard. Enough is enough.
It is time for us show them the strength of a united people. They will try to break us. They will try to get us to hate each other because divided they control us. But together we have the one thing they lack ‒ integrity.
For each minister who sat on their laurels while Trotman signed away our resources; while the PPP signed away our resources; while these charlatans put their interest before the interest of the people; of the nation and did nothing; we will deal with you as we deal with them ‒ disdain and utter resentment.
