Bids were opened yesterday for the National Drainage and Irrigation Authority for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of nine fixed and five mobile high-capacity pumps and associated structures and equipment.
Two companies based in India submitted bids. The cost estimate for the project is pegged at US$4m. The 14 pumps are being acquired through a line of credit from India. The bids were opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board at the Ministry of Finance at Main and Urquhart streets.
