Distribution/Warehouse mauled Soft Drink Plant by seven wickets, when the GT Beer Inter-Department Softball Cricket Championships continued on Tuesday at the Thirst Park ground.
Set a meager target of 39 runs in eight overs, Distribution/Warehouse romped to 41-3 in 3.5 overs. Delon Ridley top scored with 15 runs, while Imran Ally chipped in with 14 runs.
Melroy Gomes recorded figures of 2-22 for the loser. Prior to their successful chase, Distribution/Warehouse bundled out Soft Drink Plant for 38 runs.
Paul Boodram top scored with 13 runs, while Gomes was the next best scorer with six runs. H. Baksh was the pick of the bowlers with 3-3 in two overs while Wasim Yussuf contributed 3-10 in his spell.
Chipping in with 2-8 was Ridley. The competition continues today at the same venue. In the lone fixture, Distribution/Warehouse will oppose Trisco at 18:00hrs.
