Plaisance Guardians downed Ravens in the First Division, while Kobras edged the University of Guyana (UG) Trojans in the U23 Section, when the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Federation (GABA) Knockout Championship, continued on Thursday.
Played at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue, Guardians clinched the win 77-71.
Nietzikeil Yisrael top-scored with a game-high 18 points with Malcolm Powdar the next best scorer with 17 points. Chipping in with 11 and eight points respectively were Nikoloi Smith and Kwame Fox.
For Ravens, Darcel Harris netted 16 points while Dominic Vicente and Ryan Stephney added 15 and 14 points respectively.
Meanwhile Kobras earned the victory compliments of a 73-69 score line.
Amoniki John tallied 22 points while James Lakhan, Akil Hughes and Kenny Favourite, scored 12, 10 and seven points respectively.
On the other side, Darrol Williams, Cubator Stephens and Jafar Gibbons scored 22, 13 and eight points each. The competition continues on Monday at the same venue.
In the opening match, Eagles oppose Guardians in the u23 section from 18:30hrs, while Nets battle Eagles at 20:30hrs in the first division.
