New Silver City Secondary and Mackenzie High School fashioned lopsided wins, when the Annual Edward ‘Screw’ Richmond Secondary School Football Championship, commenced yesterday, in Linden.
Staged at the Wisburg Secondary School ground, New Silver City dismantled Linden Foundation Secondary 7-0. Emmanuel Atkins registered a helmet-trick in the rout, while Hugh Fraser and Ojani Whittington recorded one goal each.Completing the scoreline was an own goal.
Meanwhile, Mackenzie High School downed Linden Technical Institute 2-0. The event continues tomorrow at the same venue.
Christianburg/Wismar Secondary is the defending champion.
