Settling Star trampled its opposition and galloped away with the spoils of the feature E and Lower, seven furlong event of the Kennard Memorial Turf Club post-Phagwah meet on Sunday.
With jockey, Randolph Richmond in the stirrups, Settling Star of the Shariff Racing Stables toyed with its five rivals before pulling away on the final turn.
The $700,000 first prize and the Metro Office and Computer Supplies Trophy was subsequently awarded to the steed’s handlers.
Goodwill Boy placed second while Storm Bird finished in third.
