(Trinidad Express) The body of a man, with his severed head nearby, was discovered yesterday in Sangre Grande.
The corpse has been identified as Davidson Nicome, 38, of Kessonarine Trace, Foster Road, Sangre Grande.
Police said Nicome had a criminal background, with previous convictions for narcotics possession and firearm related offences.
The corpse was discovered by a gardener at LP 6 at Seeree Road, Foster Road.
ASP Etienne, Insp Lutchman, Sgt Cooper, officers of Homicide Region II and others responded and observed the headless body with a jagged cut to the neck. The head was found nearby.
Nicome’s relatives came to the scene and positively identified the body.
An autopsy is expected to be done at the Forensic Sciences Centre.
