Dear Editor,
In the Friday 16 March edition of Stabroek News there appears a curiously constructed advertisement by NICIL/SPU titled ‘Expressions of Interest’.
If the first paragraph is to be read literally, it would appear the persons were being invited to express interest in being contractors or workers (farmers) for
- Planting
- Crop husbandry
- Harvesting
at Skeldon, Rose Hall and Enmore Estates – alas for ‘cultivation’.
There is however no indication of the nature of the ‘cultivation’ to be ‘planted’, nor ‘crop’ to be husbanded or indeed harvested.
And where is the ‘amount of Hectares’ said of total hectares involved?
Can one bid for all three locations?
Yours faithfully,
(Name and address provided)
