Transport Sports Club yesterday defeated Gandhi Youth Organisation by 27 runs to win their opening match of the Georgetown Cricket Association/Guyana Diabetes Association/Ansa McAl U17 T20 competition.
Batting first TSC scored 153-7 and then dismissed GYO, for 126.
Opener, Andrew Samaroo top scored with 27 including three successive fours of off Dhanesh Persaud before falling to Dwain Dick in the 11th over.
Samaroo added 50 for the first wicket with Rudranauth Kissoon (25) while Onshore Seepersaud contributed 12 and extras accounted for 34.
