A youth was yesterday remanded to prison after he was charged with the attempted murder of a man, who remains hospitalised in a critical condition.
Ronald Mark, 19, was read the charge when he appeared before acting Chief Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus in Georgetown.
It is alleged that on March 24th, 2018, at the North West District, with intent to commit murder, Mark unlawfully and maliciously wounded Henry Sandayo.
The teen was not required to enter a plea to the indictable charge.
Police prosecutor Gordon Mansfield objected to bail being granted, while noting that the complainant remains in a critical condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Mark was then remanded to prison and the matter was adjourned until March 29th.
