Three youths were on Friday remanded to prison by a city magistrate on a joint charge that they stole several items valued at over $1.8 million.
Carlos Scott, 19, Glendon Calvan, 23, and Fitzroy Gonsalves, 23, at Friendship, Pomeroon, allegedly stole an item valued $1,300,000, a vacuum, valued $400,000, a remote control set valued $100,000 and a water pump valued $14,000.
They were not required to plead to the charge.
Police Prosecutor Gordon Mansfield objected to bail and stated that all the stolen items were recovered from the defendants and two of them confessed.
Acting Chief Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus denied the trio bail and adjourned the case until April 9th, when it will be heard at the Charity Magis-trate’s Court.
