Guyanese rifleshooters Lennox Braithwaite and Ransford Goodluck are Down Under and getting ready for what is expected to be stern competition at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games which will take place at the Belmont Shooting Complex.
After leaving Guyana last Friday the two shooters wasted little time in getting in much needed practice ahead of the competition which has two components, Pairs and Individuals.
Official practice is set for April 5th with eth first match (Pairs) to shoot off on April 9th. The first stage of the Individual competition is on April 11th.
Guyana National Rifle Association (GuyanaNRA) Fullbore Captain Mahendra Persaud was originally part of the team but unfortunately fell ill in January and is presently recuperating in the United States of America. With Persaud not being able to attend, Goodluck was drafted into the team.
