Nkosi Beaton, batting at number eight, scored his maiden ton to help the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) to 213-run defeat of Malteenoes Sports Club yesterday in the final of the Georgetown Cricket Association/New York Tri State Under-19 tournament.
Beaton shared two century partnerships that saw DCC recovering from 42-6 to post 363 all out in the 47th over.
They then capped a dominating performance by dismissing MSC for 150 in 31 overs.
Sent in Ntini Permaul gave MSC the dream start in their title hunt picking up three quick wickets before Beaton teamed with West Indies Under-19 player, Ashmead Nedd to rebuild the innings.
