A Robb Street, Bourda restaurant manager was on Friday remanded to prison on a charge that he had over 800 grammes of cannabis for trafficking on the premises of the business.
The charge alleged that Prince Lamazon, 44, on April 4th, at 57 Robb Street, Bourda, had in his possession 836 grammes of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
Lamazon pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The police allege that on the day in question, ranks, acting on information received, went to the Robb Street location, where the accused manages a restaurant. Lamazon was allegedly locked in a room in the restaurant. The police subsequently conducted a search of the room and allegedly found a black plastic bag on the floor that contained the suspected cannabis.
Lamazon, police say, admitted under caution that the cannabis was his.
Magistrate Leron Daly remanded the man to prison and adjourned the matter until April 27th.
