Up-and-coming pugilist Travis Inverary on Sunday punched his way to the best boxer award when the Pepsi/Michael Parris Under-16 tournament was staged at the National Gymnasium.
After clinching a victory against Francis Sukhu in their highly competitive, punch-filled bout, the Forgotten Youth Foundation product gained the judges nod for the coveted trophy.
The crowd pleasing Inverary put on a dazzling display of attack and defence, counter-punching his Rose Hall Jammers opponent to earn a unanimous victory in the 100-104 pound category.
While Inverary took home the individual honours, the products of the Vergenoegen Boxing Gym brought their talents to the city and won the best gym award for their club.
Other winners yesterday included: Devon Williams, Alex Adams, Garvel Hyman, Shaquancy Wright, Tyrese Bennett, Mark Crawford, Shameer Morrison and Jacquan Milo.
