International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Trevor Porter, will officiate in the Dominican Republic leg of the impending CONCACAF Caribbean Club Shield Tournament scheduled for April 12th-21st.
The West Demerara resident is among 30 officials who have been selected for the elite Caribbean club tournament.
In an invited comment, the Assistant Referee revealed, “I’m happy to participate in the tournament. International exposure is always great to enhance technical and tactical skills, and this tournament will offer opportunities for same, as well as networking for further technical development. Fitness is key and I believe this is an area where I’ll both contribute to and learn from.”
Porter, who will be on his first international appointment in 2018, is the only Guyanese referee selected to officiate in the competition. He will return to local shores on April 22nd.
