The Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) defeated the Gandhi Youth Organization (GYO) by an innings and 189 runs on the final day of their Noble House Seafoods/Georgetown Cricket Association, two-day, second-division competition at the GYO ground on Sunday.
GCC, resuming the day on 142 – two, powered their way to 390 for seven declared on the back of a savage century from West Indies U19 all-rounder Ronaldo Ali-Mohammed who slammed 177. Mohammed received support from Martin Pestano-Bell who missed out on a century after recording an innings of 80.
Surendra Hiralal, rolling back the years, took 3-34 for Gandhi who were bundled out for 64 in their second innings, plummeting to their heavy defeat.
