A team headed by Guyana’s Ambassador to Brazil, George Talbot, recently visited the Dr. Zilda Arns Fundamental Education Centre in Itapoã, Brazil, as part of the Open Doors Embassies programme. A release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the programme seeks to bring together diplomatic representatives in Brasilia and students from the national public school network. Prior to this visit, the release said that a group of about forty students and administrators from the school visited the Guyana Embassy in Brasilia to learn about Guyana’s history, culture and national symbols.
