In an effort to improve the quality of the Eteringbang airstrip, the Ministry of Public Infrastructure (MPI) will be undertaking chemical stabilisation of the runway surface sometime during the week of April 22, 2018.
A release yesterday from MPI said that this exercise will extend for approximately seven days from the date of commencement. As a result, the runway will be closed during the period.
MPI said that relevant stakeholders, including residents and village leaders, have already been informed of the impending closure.
