A West Ruimveldt woman is now recovering from stab wounds after she was attacked by her former partner on Tuesday, less than a week after she would have secured a restraining order against him.
Lashana Boyce, 24, was stabbed twice, including once to the back, during the attack, which occurred on Tuesday morning, shortly after she took her two-year-old daughter to school on D’Urban Street.
Boyce was said to be heading to work when the perpetrator pounced on her.
The man reportedly turned himself in to the police on Wednesday.
