A woman charged with swearing to false information was yesterday cleared after a city court found that there was insufficient evidence against her.
It was alleged that Doreen Lynch, on March 5th, 2012, at Georgetown, being authorised by law to make a statement upon oath, in an affidavit in support of a petition for Prescriptive Title, dated March 5th, 2012, made a false statement which would have amounted to perjury if it was made in judicial proceedings.
The proceedings against Lynch, which was being heard by Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman in Georgetown, came to an end yesterday, when the charge was dismissed.
