The Lady Jaguars football team played to their second draw in the Caribbean Football Union Women’s Challenge Series yesterday, battling to a 2-2 result with Suriname at the Ato Bolton Stadium, Trinidad and Tobago.
Fresh off their scoreless draw with Grenada on Wednesday, the Guyanese side took the lead in the 21st minute. The Dutch nation responded to equalise in the 45th+2 minute.
Upon the resumption, Guyana retook the lead compliments of a 56th minute conversion. However, Suriname responded once again, as they found the back of the net in the 65th minute to earn a share of the spoils.
The Guyanese will conclude their campaign tomorrow against hosts and group leader Trinidad and Tobago.
