The final of the Guyana Cricket Board/ Hand In Hand Mutual Fire and Life Insurance 50-over Inter-county Under-19 tournament was once again postponed due to rain.
The final was scheduled to take place at the Lusignan Community Centre Ground, East Coast Demerara on Saturday but was moved to yesterday but the inclement weather over the weekend has delayed the much anticipated match which will see a new champion being crowned with the exit of Demerara.
According to a release from the Guyana Cricket Board, there is still an alternative date for the final be played while the playing conditions stated that a wash out would result in the team with the most wins being named champions.
Table toppers Berbice will play the Select Under-17 team which made it to the final with a solitary win while Berbice won all three of their matches.
The rainy weather has dominated the competition resulting in Demerara only playing one match which they lost to Berbice while Essequibo lost their two matches against Berbice and the Select U-17 respectively.
