Buxton Stars mauled Plaisance Panthers by an 8-1 scoreline, when the National Milling Company (NAMILCO) U17 Football Championship at the Golden Grove ground yesterday.
Shamar McPherson copped a double in the ninth and 32nd minute, Shamar Scott added a double in the 56th and 60th minute. Chipping in with goals were Shamar Kingston, Colin Wills and Kerwin Maxwell in the 22nd, 62nd and 68th minute.
An own goal added to the score in the 70th minute. For Plaisance, Azande King netted in the 46th minute.
Meanwhile in the U15 Frank Watson Memorial Tournament at the same venue, on Saturday, Mahaica Determinators edged Plaisance 4-3. Trevon Adams tallied a hat-trick in the third, 79th and 85th minute, while Eyon Fernandes scored in the 73rd minute.
For Plaisance, Simon Hill, Jamal Fraser and Stephon Millington netted in the 39th, 62nd and 69th minute respectively.
Also, Ann’s Grove and Victoria Scorpions battled to a 2-2 draw. Shane Higgins and Isaiah Layne scored for Ann’s Grove in the 16th and 48th minute, while Mark Roberts bagged a double in the 55th and 58th minute for Victoria.
