Akeem Redman and Adrian Hinds added 60 to steer Transport Sports Club (TSC) to a one wicket win in the last over against Meet-en-Meer Zorg (MMZ) in their home ground on Sunday.
MMZ posted 218-8 while TSC reached 219-9 with four balls remaining in the 35 overs contest.
MMZ were led by Sheldon Alexander’s 55 which consisted on six fours and three sixes while he was supported by Jermaine Maxwell and D.
George who scored 27 and an unbeaten 22 respectively. However, MMZ could have posted more with the blazing start they had but it was Keon Morris with 2-19 and Dhanraj Narine’s 2-20 that halted the acceleration before Kelvin Bobb-Semple picked up 2-27 later in the innings.
Meanwhile TSC lost constant wickets and looked to fold but Hinds, who opened the innings lost regular partners until Redman joined to put on aa 60-run stand but when Hinds departed for a responsible 50, Redman had to steer the innings with a single to cover in the second ball of the last over and remain unbeaten on 48 while Morris made 27 earlier.
Alexander picked up 3-39 while Deryck Foo bagged 2-30.
