A mason was yesterday remanded to prison, after he was accused of receiving a car stolen from a taxi driver, who was shot in the head during the robbery.
It was alleged that Kevin Jordan, 29, on or between April 26th and May 5th, at Perry Street Tucville, received a silver-grey Toyota Allion motorcar, valued $2,200,000, knowing same to be stolen.
It was further alleged that Jordan, on May 5th, at Georgetown, fraudulently inserted licence plate PVV 6204 on a Toyota Allion motorcar, originally registered as HC 1720.
Police prosecutor Gordon Mansfield objected to bail being granted and stated that the victim in the matter is the owner of the vehicle.
It was further related that on April 26th, he was hired to do a pick up and was shot in his head and his car was stolen.
Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan remanded the man to prison and adjourned the matter until May 16th.
