Chase Academy, Presidents’ College and Marian Academy all recorded contrasting wins in the U14 section of the Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) ‘Regional Conference’ which continued yesterday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue.
Chase Academy defeated St. Rose’s High 34-23. Omari Kewley top scored with 24 points and seven rebounds in the win. For St Rose’s High, Chris Perez added 10 points and eight rebounds, while Haile Caesar chipped in with eight points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Presidents’ College whipped YBG Cluster 31-9. Kerrol Mentor top scored with 14 points in the rout. For YBG Clusters, Renoko Vaughn scored five points and grabbed four rebounds.
Marian Academy the edged Bishops’ High 19-18. Elan Rahaman scored nine points and grabbed five rebounds while Duard Lewis added six points for Marian Academy.
Justin Thomas scored six points for Bishops’ High. The tournament is sponsored by Edward B. Beharry and Company Ltd, Banks DIH Ltd and the National Sports Commission.
