Friendship Secondary moved one step closer in their hunt for the title in the inaugural Regional Democratic Council (RDC)/ Lloyd Britton/ Devcon Construction/ Regional Executive Officer (REO) Region Four Inter-Secondary Schools Knockout competition after they advanced to the semi-finals on first innings points when they faced Soesdyke Secondary at Everest Cricket Club, Camp Road yesterday.
Soesdyke won the toss and chose to bat posting 39 all out while Friendship declared their first innings on 97-6.
Soesdyke played positive cricket in their second innings to close the day at 60-5. Soesdyke lasted all but 43 deliveries in their first innings as no batsman passed eight nor lasted longer than 10 balls.
