Dear Editor,
The Amerindian Action Movement of Guyana is calling on the administration of the Mae’s private school in Subryanville to apologise to the Amerindian child it ethnically discriminated against because the child wore his cultural attire as part of the school’s observance of Guyana’s Independence celebration. It is important as well that the private school apologises to the parents of the child who attends that school and to Guyana’s Indigenous or First Peoples.
Yours faithfully,
Peter Persaud.
