Guyana’s medal count remained at five, following the penultimate day of the South American Games being staged in Bolivia.
Yesterday saw Winston George placing fifth in the men’s 200m final after snaring a bronze medal a day earlier in the 400m event.
The national 400m record holder narrowly missed gold in 45.67s, just off Brazil’s Lucas Carvalho’s winning time of 45.61s, and Columbian silver medalist, Yilmar Madera’s 45.64s on Wednesday.
