Plaisance Secondary, North Georgetown and St. Rose’s High recorded easy wins in the U16 division, when the Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) ‘Regional Conference’ continued yesterday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue.
Plaisance Secondary crushed Brickdam Secondary 45-14. Ishmael Chapman registered 18 points, while Gregory Sandiford assisted with nine points.
For Brickdam, Yhuton Bobb scored six points. Similarly, North Georgetown crushed Christ Church 34-18.
Craig Harlequin tallied 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Nkosi Beaton chipped in with 10 points. For the loser, Raheim Niles added six points and nine rebounds.
Also, St. Roses’ High downed Queens’ College 30-15. Hasani Hazlewood top scored with 11 points, while Kahil Farrington recorded 10 points and 12 rebounds.
For the losing team, Lugard Mohan Jr, amassed 13 points, eight steals and six rebounds. Meanwhile, The Bishops High edged Tutorial High 22-20.
Timothy Richmond top scored for the victor with 12 points and six rebounds, while Jaden Moses netted 12 points in the loss. The Tournament is sponsored by Edward B. Beharry and Company Ltd, Banks DIH LTD and the National Sports Commission.
