The Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG) yesterday informed Muslims that the crescent for Shawwal has been sighted and therefore Eid ul Fitr will be celebrated today, signifying the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting.
The CIOG extended Eid Mubarak greetings to the entire Muslim community.
