Two Corentyne men were on Thursday found guilty at the High Court in Berbice of raping a now 25-year-old man back in 2015 at Williamsburg Village, Corentyne.
The two accused, Mahesh Lackhan and Parshram Guman who were both represented by attorney at law, Jagmohan were unanimously found guilty of raping the man on January 29, 2015.
Jagmohan told the court that his clients were under the influence of alcohol and committed a grave mistake.
A probation report has since been ordered, after which the men will be sentenced on July 19.
The state was represented by Prosecutrix, Towana Hardy with a total of nine witnesses called to the stand.
Back in 2015, it was reported that the victim was drugged, after which he was raped by the men who he was working with at the time.
