Bissan’s Trading has come on board the sponsorship team for this year’s Malteenoes Cricket Academy which commences on July 23.
“This is a great concept and I know how much the youngsters will learn from this and hopefully some players from this Academy will go on to play at the highest level,” said Bissoon Singh, the proprietor of Bissan’s Trading.
The Malteenoes Cricket Academy will cater for both boys and girls between the ages of 6-13 and 14-18.
Registration, which is available for 90 students, closes on July 20, and costs $3,000, inclusive of lunch and snacks, according to a media release from the MSC.
The academy will include class room and field work sessions, which will provide the tools to become cricketers, umpires, scorers, journalists and broadcasters.
National Under-17 Coach Orin Bailey is the Head Coach, while former Test pacer Colin Stuart, and Guyana Head Coach Esuan Crandon will conduct the technical and physical sessions.
