Awaken Your Inner Power and Potential

As the world becomes an increasingly challenging place to live in, we need to find new insights and new tools to manage ourselves within it. We need to reclaim control as the directors and stewards of our own lives.

The golden age of technology that we are currently passing through has placed at our fingertips the opportunity to access information from anywhere and at any time.  We can find out how to assemble a car, predict stormy weather and find a recipe to bake a cake; learn about amoebas and genetics and even track people through GSM-GPS devices. In fact, there is even a ‘do it yourself’ guide to human enlightenment!  We have all the necessary technology for efficient and effective communication and yet one of the biggest problems facing relationships is the communication breakdown.

When we are caught up in a web of information and activity overload, we cannot find our personal truth, or the time to live it.

What is inner power and how do we reconnect with it and develop it?  How do we identify and uncover hidden potential?  What is our inner power and potential asking of us at this time?

Firstly, it is an inner calm where nothing and no one can shake my personal dignity.  Perhaps, the greatest definition of power would be the ability to do what you want when you want.

Our greatest treasure is our thoughts and inner power is generated by creating pure, positive, peaceful, powerful and purposeful thoughts. Memories of past events drain us of our power easily. The future is also no less; it embezzles our energy through fear, worry and doubt. In one day, a million things will arrive, seeking my attention–sucking at my energy that was accumulated arduously and with much dedication. In a power hungry world, different things in life hunt my power. They eat away at my peace, love, happiness and kindness. This is when discernment is so important; knowing where to take my power from and where to give it.

Happiness and contentment play a major role in achieving equilibrium between soul and body. The ability to remain happy is the ability to refrain from feeling unhappy over any situation.  There again, I need the intellect to filter that which is of benefit to me and that which is detrimental to the soul – it’s something like choosing fruits over junk food.

The main difference between a powerful soul and a weak soul is in their thinking. Self-confidence is associated with a healthy state of mind. A change in my thinking brings a change in my perception. And the location of the ‘petrol pump’ is the inner recess of my mind, where all my powers and treasures have been buried (all this time!).  Some also take the highway to God and fuel up at the Source; however this takes a little more concentration and perseverance.

Its time… to take charge of your thoughts – create pure, peaceful, positive, powerful and purposeful thoughts. Whenever you get a moment, go deep inside and ‘fill up’ the soul.  Put a full stop to your past drama.  Then your ‘Ferrari’ will carry you to your destination safely!
