Medical evaluations were yesterday ordered for two men who are committed to stand trial at the High Court.
Prosecutor Seeta Bishundial made applications yesterday before Justice Brassington Reynolds for medical evaluations for Paul Michael Khan, 34, who is facing a charge of manslaughter, and Toney Marcus, who will be tried for attempted murder and felonious wounding.
The court heard from a relative of Marcus that the accused, who it is alleged wounded Etwaroo Narine, called ‘Cow’, on July 6th, 2014, at McDoom, with intent to commit murder, has been admitted to the psychiatric ward before, and has not been taking his pills.
The other accused, Khan, agreed to have the evaluation conducted.
The applications are to be prepared and presented on or before August 7th, 2018.
