Navindra Sarwan, the shipper who was held a little more than two weeks ago following the discovery of fifteen lbs of suspected cocaine under his vehicle in the compound of the CAMEX Bond at the Timehri airport was released since there was insufficient evidence linking him to the crime.
Sarwan was among five persons who were arrested by ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) on July 2.

that while Sarwan was released, he is required to report to CANU since the probe is still active.
The four other men who were arrested with him have also been released.
CANU in a press statement had said that the men were arrested around 11 pm on July 2 while the vehicle which belongs to Sarwan was parked inside the compound of the bond at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri.
The shipper, the release had said was scheduled to ship ground provisions and pumpkins on cargo flight OJ 258 destined for Canada.
