Dear Editor,
While the relevant authorities are reportedly looking at the finances of the Berbice River Bridge, I wish to humbly suggest that they also take a hard look at the potential for cost reductions in the routine operation and maintenance of the bridge.
As a frequent traveller over the bridge and an occasional visitor to the office, it is my perception that there is room for cost reduction in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the bridge. Of course, my perception is influenced by my general and human resource management experience elsewhere, but I believe that there is sufficient relevance and transferability in this context.
Yours faithfully,
Nowrang Persaud
