Fitness Express has once again answered the call for athletes of the strength sports in need.
Yesterday, CEO of Guyana’s leading supplement and gym equipment supplier, Jamie McDonald made timely presentations to powerlifters Paul Adams and Erwin Smith.
McDonald who supports numerous athletes on a year-round basis, supplied the two gladiators with supplements and monetary support to help boost their chances of medaling at the 16th Caribbean/NAPF Championships scheduled for August 2-4 in Mexico.
Adams will compete in the 83kg Classic/Raw class while Smith will take the platform in the Smith is 93kg Equipped category.
For Adams, the Mexico outing will be his fourth Regional meet. He has medaled in all the other three. In his last championship in New Jersey, he got third at a local Raw meet last November.
Smith meanwhile will be attending his fifth international competition. He had medaled in all of those outings. He has competed at the Commonwealth Championships, the Caribbean and the Pan Am. His first compettion was in 2014 where he secured a silver medal in St Croix at Caribbean Championships.
The duo will be part of a formidable national team which always returns with hardware from the annual championships.
