Jamaica has registered four boxers, three males and a female for the Caribbean Schoolboys and Juniors Tournament scheduled for the National Gymnasium from August 17-19.
According to President of the Guyana Boxing Association (GBA) Steve Ninvalle, Jamaica’s confirmation comes on the heels of Trinidad and Grenada registering 16 boxers between them.
Trinidad and Tobago will be sending a team of 12 boxers and six officials to the Tournament.
That should be the largest foreign contingent invading the shores of the 592 for the event.
Confirmation from St Lucia and the Cayman Islands was also received by the GBA for the third annual fixture.
Antigua, Barbados, the US Virgin Islands, Bahamas and Suriname are still to confirm their participation.
