We have noted an article in the Sunday Stabroek of August 12, 2018 that references an exchange between the Head of Planning at the Guyana Forestry Com-mission (GFC) Ms. Pradeepa Bholanauth and Ms. Gail Teixeira, MP, during a presentation by Ms. Bholanauth to the Parliamentary Sectoral Committee on Foreign Relations in which Ms. Teixeira disputed Ms. Bholanauth’s claim that the Code of Practice and Forest Regulations were tabled in the National Assembly.
We wish to advise that both the Code of Practice and Forest Regulations were laid before the National Assembly by Hon. Raphael G.C. Trotman, M.P on May 11, 2018.
