Dear Editor,
Please grant me space to publicly congratulate Mr Earl John on his excellent comment on your letters page yesterday. I say comment because I am sure Mr John does not expect pure common sense, even expressed as expertly as he does, to penetrate the reaches of our country’s autocracy. Human Capital issues are decidedly in the political domain now, particularly in expectation of an enlarged public purse for our decision-makers to dispose of, predictably in ways that Mr John will find depressingly familiar. We must thank you, Editor, for giving us opportunity to mumble from the sidelines, for the matter of time that you and we are allowed.
