Home side Georgetown Football Club and newcomer GT Panthers secured contrasting wins when the Georgetown Football Association [GFA]-Interim Management Committee [IMC] ‘Stag Revival Cup’, commenced Sunday.
Staged at the GFC ground, Bourda, GFC downed Pele 2-0. Lavaughn Ennis and Jermaine Padmore scored in the 32nd and 50th minute respectively.
On the other hand, GT Panthers edged Northern Rangers 1-0 compliments of a Jamol Scotte 20th minute conversion.
Camptown FC and Guyana Police Force [GPF] battled to a 1-1 draw.
Kester Dundas handed the lawmen the lead in the 17th minute only for Ozeal Small to equalise in the 46th minute. Manasseh Primo received a red card in the 24th minute for GPF.
The event continues on tomorrow at the Tucville Community ground. At 18:30hrs, Beacons will oppose Black Pearl while Western Tigers U20 will engage Riddim Squad from 20:00hrs.
