Come January next year individuals and institutions interested in investing in Guyana or otherwise establishing business ties with the country will benefit from a Who’s Who in Guyana Business Directory to be launched by two local business-focused organizations, ActionINVEST Caribbean Inc. and Acme Marketing Consultancy Company.
Earlier this week ActionInvest issued a media statement announcing that the partnership has commenced collaboration on the publication of what it says will be an “annual, world-class hard-copy and online publication” which it says will feature the country’s top business and public sector organizations and will be specifically targeting “businesses that seek to invest and build partnerships in Guyana.”
It is organized by industry and provides a customized layout of company profiles, contact information, and photographs of key players within the organization: directors, senior executives, and management.
ActionINVEST says that the Who’s Who in Guyana Business directory and website will serve as a “powerful corporate information networking and business growth improvement tool” in Guyana and internationally.’ The publishers say they plan to circulate the publication “through business organizations, government ministries and agencies, airport lounges, foreign and Guyanese Embassies and High Commissions, corporate offices and at trade expositions.
Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica and Barbados already boast similar Who’s Who business directories.
ActionINVEST says in its release that its move to publish the Directory was made against the backdrop of its recognition of the increasing demand for professionals who can deliver results in the context of Guyana’s ‘welcome change of fortune,” a reference to the announcement by ExxonMobil of oil deposits offshore Guyana in 2015. The company says that it intends to be a major driver in ensuring that capacity is built, collaborations are pursued and that the country’s human and organizational potential is fully unlocked.
The booking deadline is September 30, 2018 while artwork submission must be made before October 31, 2018. The targeted distribution date is January 2019.
The publishers say that ActionINVEST Caribbean Inc. will and provide a customized layout of company profiles, contact information, and photographs of key players within organizations including Direct-ors, senior executives, and management.
