Vibert Garrett, President of the BABA and coordinator of the tournament said, “The association regrets that UG [University of Guyana] was unable to play in the exhibition match after making the long journey.”
According to Garrett, “UG was scheduled to play a Berbice U23 All-Star team but the match was unable to be played because we didn’t have access to the lights. It was very unfortunate that the game was not played and we apologize to UG for the situation that happened.”
